Innovation

PSO views innovation as an important means of effectively and sustainably working on capacity development. That is why innovation is one of PSO's spearheads for the period until 2010.

PSO wishes to stimulate member organisations to actively seek out new approaches, models and methods of capacity building. For the member organisations this boils down to looking for new insights, new (geographic) work areas or new target groups such as migrants.

PSO uses various tools to stimulate innovation. These include: financing, documentation and collective activities. A special tool is the Innovation Fund that was created purely to finance innovative projects.

Furthermore, PSO organises a series of inspiration sessions for member organisations' managers and policy makers, and other interested parties. PSO hopes these sessions will create more room for innovation within its members' organisations.
