PSO wishes to contribute to structural poverty alleviation. The way of doing so is to reinforce civil society organisations in developing countries through capacity building. Civil society organisations are so important because they can provide a good balance between the population, the business community and the government.
PSO works in close cooperation with its member organisations. In turn, the latter cooperate with local organisations in the South. These are local organisations who are in direct contact with and look after the interests of the actual target group, the poor.
PSO is a promoter of quality and innovation in capacity development. The organisation does so by stimulating our members to learn about capacity development together.
