Agriterra

Agriterra is the executive organisation for international cooperation on behalf of the Dutch rural people's organisations. Agriterra supports farmers' organisations, cooperatives and rural women organisations worldwide. Agriterra considers the existence and the strengthening of rural people's organisations in the South as a condition for poverty reduction, democracy and sustainable development. As a result of the support the organisations can improve their service to the members. The projects vary from rural tourism to the improvement of potato production, from setting up rural credit unions to bringing new products to the market or defining new markets for existing products. An important part of the support goes to organisations of rural women.
