Peer review of partnerships in Humanitarian Aid

Out of a Peer Review emerged that PSO member organisations and partner organistions work well together in times of crises. The research examined the opportunities and challenges of partnership.

These proved to vary strongly according to circumstances. Partnership in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Sudan was heavily influenced by Northern organisations. This was far less the case in Colombia, India and the Palestinian territories.

Five PSO member organistions examined their relationship with partner organisations in times of crises, both in times of conflict as well as following a natural disaster.

Programme officers from Cordaid, ICCO/KIA, Dutch Red Cross, Oxfam Novib and War Child looked into one another's working practise. Partner organisations from Colombia, the Democratic Republic of Congo, India, Palestinian territories/Israel and Sudan also took part in the research.
