Abstract:
In 2007 and 2008 PSO experimented with a peer review approach focusing on improvement and learning about partnership in humanitarian aid, in response to conflicts and natural disasters. The peer review approach was based on the gathering and sharing of information, experiences and good practices among organisations that are each other's peers. A peer review approach supports research as well as mutual learning between peer organisations, building upon and creating trust and openness, and a learning instead of accountability atmosphere. This report examines how such an atmosphere was created and what we would do differently a next time.
