Networks

writeshop21 July, 2011 - A very diverse group of representatives from five networks travelled from four continents to Soesterberg to analyse and document their experiences in strengthening their network dynamics during the first week of June. Sandra Hill introduced us to free writing as a way to bring up our personal stories.

April 27, 2011 - ‘We have people, that’s all we have,’ this phrase was easy to miss in Rosemarie Wuite’s presentation on April 13th at the Working Conference for Network Practitioners. Nevertheless, it articulates perfectly how Niza has built the network  with her African partners

In 2010, PSO will conduct action research on networks. The leading questions will be:
How do organisations experience their participation in North-South networks; and what attitudes and approaches make that collaboration in networks meet the ambitions, reality and expectations of its partners?

Internet access is taken for granted. We communicate with others using e-mail, Skype or MSN and increasingly collaborate with others online. More and more often PSO also uses Internet applications to collaborate with its southern partners.

On 20 January 2009 members of PSO participated in the collective learning trajectory ‘Capacity Development & Networks'. The 24 participants concluded at the end of the meeting that there were no simple models for analyzing types of networks.

A collection of stories about e-collaboration experiences. How various Dutch development organisations introduced e-collaboration tools to their organisation. Includes products such as MSN, D-Groups, Skype, Del.ici.ous, etc.

On the 18th of September 2008 PSO and ICCO organised an event on “Capacity Development and Networks.” The discussions explored the practice of networks, and the assumption that the capacity of a network is greater than the sum of its parts. See the report on the seminar.

This article reports on a joint project between PSO and IICD in systematic engagement with an active Community op Practice (CoP). What began as a meeting for those interested in ICT tools turned into a virtual discussion platform, including over the years, formal and informal meetings, joint research activities, and a blog. This report reflects on the successful growth of a COP.
