Millennium Development Goals

In 2000, 189 countries signed the Millennium declaration. These countries actively combat global poverty. Eight concrete, measurable goals have been formulated to this end: the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs). These are to be achieved by 2015.

PSO and the MDGs

What does PSO do to bring about the achievement of the MDGs? PSO is of the opinion that the MDGs can only be achieved with the aid of strong social organisations in the South.

This happens to be PSO's field of expertise. With its activities aimed at capacity development, PSO provides an active contribution to halving poverty by 2015.
