In his opening speech, Rob van Poelje, head of Knowledge Centre, told the attendants of the ceremony, that PSO sees innovation as an important instrument for growth and progression. ‘We bring actors from different fields of knowledge, different backgrounds and experiences together in both physical and virtual meetings, Van Poelje explained. ‘We stimulate our member organisations to experiment with new and creative ideas.' PSO finances innovation through the Innovation Fund.
After the opening ceremony, the attendants went to look for inspiration for innovation. They could do that by participating in one of the three workshops (1. The Negotiated Approach by Both ENDS 2. Building capacities of community NGOs for psychosocial support of marginalized families and adolescents by HNI TPO and 3. Human Security from below by IKV Pax Christi.)
