The Humanitarian cafés are open to anyone who works in or is interested in Humanitarian Aid or Fragile states, be it from a university, NGO or ministerial point of view. Each café begins with an interesting speaker followed by an informal discussion. Topics range from emergency aid, reconstruction, social economic development in fragile states, disaster risk reduction, to peace and security.

This time Ed Schenkenberg van Mierop will hold an introduction on the efficiency of multinational lobby by NGO's. He is the coordinator of the International Council of Voluntary Agencies in Geneva (ICVA).

PSO organizes the Humanitarian Café together with Wageningen University and the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The aim of the café is to share and exchange The Café also provides visitors with excellent networking opportunities.
